Microsoft launched a big update to its popular Digital Literacy Course last January 28, 2019. According to its website, the course will have two phases of program updates. The first was beginning this year and the second will be between June-July 2019. The new version contains new and updated content. Here’s the course description:
The Digital Literacy Course is for anyone with basic reading skills who wants to learn the fundamentals of using digital technologies. The curriculum is written at a reading level like that of most newspapers around the world. Learners who complete the curriculum will understand basic computing concepts and skills.
There are 21 lessons beginning from hardware to managing your digital content. If you want an offline version like before the update, you can’t do it this time. But Microsoft is currently evaluating its plans to make the learning experience available offline.
It will take you around 2-3 hours to take the course in one sitting. However, if you are confident enough with your digital skills and knowledge of Microsoft products, you can directly take the certificate assessment. The assessment has 30 multiple-choice questions and you need to get at least 70% to pass it. You can then download and print your digital certificate. You can take the assessment here.
